A weekly thrice classes are taken by the Guru to learn the basics of the Odissi dance. Students are put into different batches according to their age and basic understanding of the dance. They are promoted to the next batch depending on their performance in the regular classes and also in the examination held by Pracheen Kala Kendra Chandigarh
